Why is it that we are being bombarded by “new” movies, with old plot lines? Really, is it me or are we simplly being fed the same regurgitated storylines dressed up in sheeps clothing?
Eminem of all people is set to reprise the role of Richard Boone in ‘Have Gun Will Travel‘, a series that ran in the late 50’s early 60’s and gathered some success.
Can Eminem really take on a story where he isn’t reliving the details of his sordid upbringing as he did in 8 Mile? Some discussion has begun on this topic here.
16 Blocks is out!
16 Blocks is a very cool movie and I would go out on a limb here and say that Mos Def’s performance overshadowed Bruce Willis and David Morse. Theres nothing great about the story but Richard Donner makes another good action movie and the DVD is out!!!!

Mos Def, is a slang term that means “most definitely.”
He’s an Hip-hop artist.

Project, in a nascent stage, is anchored in real science. It was derived from a treatment by Kip S. Thorne, a Caltech physicist who’s an expert on relativity. Thorne is most famous for his controversial theory that wormholes not only exist but can be accessed and used as portals for time travel.”
Mel Gibson sells mansion to get away from Spears
Mel Gibson lives next door to Britney Spears in a gated community in Malibu, California but not for long. Mel Gibson has put his $18 million mansion on the market to get away from her.
Spears has been visited by police and family services this year, and also has a steady stream of fans and paparazzi trying to get a glimpse of her.
Undisclosed sources say that Mel and his wife, Robyn, are tired of the constant commotion and also worried that their kids might get hurt. And they claim that Mel once said, holding his braveheart sword, ‘If I hear her taunt her husband by saying Hit me baby one more time, I will [censored]‘ and then his wife came over to change the subject with a smile.
Sean Connery Honored.. AGAIN!!!
Frankly, no matter how many times you honor this person, its not enough. He is definately one of the greatest actors of our time and it was great seeing him get the 34th AFI(American Film Institute) Life Achievement Award at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
“I got my big break when I was five years old, and it’s taken more than 70 years to realize it,” he said. “At five I learned to read, and I would not be standing here without the books, plays and scripts.”
Connery ended the night with another standing ovation, after saying “I’m more than pleased that you liked my work†and “though my feet are tired, my heart is not.â€
George Lucas told Access Hollywood that he’s intent on getting the Sean Connery to reprise his Henry Jones role for “Indiana Jones 4.” How exciting is that ?!!??!!!
Here is some trivia about Sean Connery:
He has two small tattoos on his right arm. One says “Scotland forever”, the other “Mum and Dad.” He got them when he enlisted in the British Navy at the age of 16.
Formerly worked as a coffin polisher.
Said in an interview that during the filming of Never Say Never Again (1983), he was taking martial arts lessons and in the process angered the instructor who in turn broke his wrist. Connery stayed with the wrist broken for a number of years thinking it was only a minor pain… the instructor was Steven Seagal.
During his time as a milkman, Connery delivered to Fettes School in Edinburgh - the same school which James Bond attended in Ian Fleming’s novels following his expulsion from Eton.
Turned down the role of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings series because he didn’t want to film down in New Zealand for 18 months, and could not understand the novels.

Superman at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix 2006
Ok, you got me. I am a Superman fan and I was so happy to see the Red Bull F1 cars advertise the new Superman movie in everything they did at the Monaco Grand Prix 2006. Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth and Kevin Spacey were in
attendance and Brandon helped the David Coulthard lift the 3rd place trophy.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt to forget Vegas Dream
It has been 10 months since they started Project Las Ramblas. The project was backed financially by Clooney, Cindy Crawford’s restaurateur husband Rande Gerber, and supported by Brad Pitt but now the project has stopped and will go no further.
According to ’some’ people in Vegas, rising construction costs are behind the decision to shut down the Las Ramblas venture. The 25-acre plot of land has been sold to the developers of the neighboring W Hotel, Casino & Residences for $202 million.
Do you think that maybe after Ocean’s 16, they can afford to buy it back and complete the construction?
Some Trivia for George Clooney Fans : He says he will never get married again, nor have any children, but Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman both bet $10,000 each that he would be a father before he turned 40. They were both wrong and each sent him a check. He returned the money, betting double or nothing that he won’t have kids by age 50.
On the trail of remakes
Has hollywood really run out of ideas for movies? There have been so many remakes lately and especially a slew of old horror movie remakes like The Omen (there is a story here for another day), The Amityville Horror and the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Now Hollywood wants to remake a horror B-movie called ‘The Stepfather‘.
This movie had a great performance by Terry O’Quinn who is now well-known for this roles in the TV shows Lost and Alias.
Now why would anyone want to remake this movie? Does anyone have a good plot for a horror movie? If so, please post it in the comments section and we will see if we can get the studio to replace a remake.

The Ghost will Ride soon, we hope
The release of Nicolas Cage’s movie, Ghost Rider, has been postponed. The reason he gives is that the director, Mark Steven Johnson, wanted to add some more special effects to the movie and the director managed to convince the studio just before the release of the movie. It will nice to see Nicolas Cage back.
Apparently, for the movie, Nicholas Cage had to have his Ghost Rider tattoo covered with make-up in order to play Johnny Blaze
